If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Church it is time. Time for repentance. Time for revival. God clearly says in His word to humble ourselves. To Pray. To seek His face and to turn from sin. And when we do, He will heal our land.

This weekend is a call to personal consecration. Repentance. And a call to live on mission. Are you ready? It's Time.

Daily Devotional

Read Revelation 2:1-7, then pray the prayer below.

Lord, I know You commended the Church at Ephesus for their labor. But what You wanted most was their love. Like the modern American Church they left their "first love" even while they labored for You. Lord, forgive us when we love the things of this world more than we love You. You alone deserve our love, our loyalty, and our allegiance. Show me any of my idols that I have loved and served more than You. I repent of these idols. I lay them down. Now help me to never pick them up again. I promise to forsake them keeping my heart and my life only for you. Cleanse my heart in your precious blood and make it new. Jesus, I know that one day soon, You as the Bridegroom will come for your bride. When You come I pray You will find Abundant Life a chaste, pure and holy bride.

Read Revelation 2:8-11, then pray the prayer below.

Lord, I pray today for the believers around the world that are currently suffering for their faith under the heavy weight of persecution. As in the days when you wrote to the ancient church at Smyrna, so many continue to lay down their lives for the faith today. I know that just because I'm a Christian, living in a place of religious liberty and material prosperity, you have never promised me a life that is easy. Nor a life of comfort, security or luxury. Help me live out a faith that is costly not cozy. A faith that is fearless not fruitless. Forgive me of how I've tried at times to keep from having to suffer or sacrifice for my faith. I know that a faith worth dying for is the only faith worth living for. If persecution or trial or tribulation should come, grant me the grace to bring you much glory. Like those from the church at Smyrna, I would rather have the recognition of heaven than the recognition of this world. I choose the rewards of heaven over the rewards of this world. Thank you Jesus for suffering for me. It's an honor should I ever have to suffer for you.

Read Revelation 2:12–17, then pray the prayer below.

Lord, today reveal to me any area of compromise in my life. Show me any place where I have compromised with sin or my biblical belief system with the world's belief system. Show me any place I've compromised by belief in Christ with the spirit of this age--the spirit of Antichrist. Show me anywhere I've comprised the truth of your Word with the lies of the world. I know there is no such thing as "partial" obedience. Show me the places in my life where I have only "partially" obeyed so that I can repent, and turn fully to you and fully obey in every area of my life. I know the church at Pergamos is the church that "married" the world. They introduced the "doctrine of Balaam" which was a doctrine of compromise. The entire camp of Israel was seduced from within. They were not destroyed from without. Help me to quickly identify any inner deception or distortion that keeps me from fully embracing the truth. And I pray for the church, your bride, to be a "chaste" and pure bride knowing that one day soon you will come for her.

Read Revelation 2:18–29, then pray the prayer below.

Lord, I know you hate idolatry. And it's clear that idolatry makes you angry. The church at Thyatira had become a "harlot" bride. They had introduced the pagan idols of their culture into their worship. Lord, I know this is so similar to the modern American church, that has introduced pagan philosophy and worldly ideology into the pure theology of your Word. Forgive us. Today I pray for the Church's repentance. I pray you would bring strong conviction on the 8 out of 10 American churches that have rejected the written revelation of your Word. I pray for the pastors and theologians that have led so many astray, that their eyes would be opened and they would repent of their apostasy and false doctrine. I pray for the thousands in these churches that their eyes would be opened to the truth, and that they would return to true New Testament Christianity. Like the church at Thyatira, modern Christianity has embraced the idolatry of sexual immorality. We have called something "good" that you call evil. Please grant us repentance. Please send us a Holy Spirit cleansing. Today I repent and turn from my own sin and my own immorality. Help me to consecrate myself to you and offer up my body as a "living sacrifice" (Romans 12:1). In Jesus' name, Amen.

Read Revelation 3:1-6, then pray the prayer below.

Lord, I have learned that Sardis was a city historically that literally died in its sleep. How easy it is for that to happen to even me. It's so easy to be lulled to sleep spiritually, while feeling like I'm awake because of religious activity.  Even with strong biblical theology, Bible study, and Christian orthodoxy, so many churches are still dead spiritually. It is true of so many Christians. Lord today I ask you to search me and show me if that is a picture of me. Forgive me if I have ever made my faith just an "academic" pursuit. Or if studying your Word has only been an "intellectual" pursuit. Don't let me just "go through the motions". I want to be AWAKENED! Help me to begin living on mission. Your Kingdom mission. Help me to live for the Great Commission. A dead Christian is any Christian not living on mission! There is little value in Bible study or correct theology if I don't live with greater urgency for the things of eternity. Today I commit to living out the Acts 1:8 mission to be be your witness "in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria and to the ends of the earth". I pray for my neighbors today who are far from you. I pray for my co-workers today who are far from you. I pray for my friends and family members today who are far from you. I pray their eyes would be opened to the good news of the gospel Help me to find someone to share the good news with, that you died for their sin and rose again!  You've said to lift up our eyes, the fields are white unto harvest. I want to be a part of an end times harvest of the souls of men and women! In Jesus' name, Amen.

Read Revelation 3:7-13, then pray the prayer below.

Lord, you put before the Philadelphian Church an open door that no one could shut. You took the "key of David" and opened to them them heaven's ability. You opened up a door for them to take the gospel to their community and advance your Kingdom throughout their city even in a time of darkness and depravity. Against all odds and extreme adversity You opened doors for them supernaturally because they were willing to live with a faith that was risky. I pray that I could be a "Philadelphian" Christian in a lukewarm "Laodicean" age. Help me to see the open doors you open up for me to share the gospel. Open up opportunities that seem like impossibilities for our Church to reach our city! Like the Philadelphians I promise to walk before you in humility, to never compromise your Word, or deny your Name! In Jesus' name, Amen.

Read Revelation 3:14-22, then pray the prayer below.

Lord, you wanted to vomit the Laodiceans out of your mouth for their lukewarm Christianity. I know I live in a place and time like the Laodiceans. It's full of material prosperity but we are bankrupt spiritually. Forgive us of our spiritual apathy and complacency. I pray today for the holy fire to fall upon the body of Christ. Please send revival fires upon our church and upon our nation. I pray the Holy Spirit would blow wherever embers still burning within your Church. We are desperate for you to move as you have in generations before. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Read Isaiah 65:1-10, then pray the prayer below.

Lord, when I read Isaiah 65:1-10 I see so many parallels between ancient Israel and modern America. Modern America, where most people still claim to be Christian, but our lives are no different than the ancient pagans. Though we claim to be Christian we have embraced oppression and racism. We have aborted your children. We have embraced sexual depravity. We are in moral anarchy. We've called immorality "holy". We've called good "evil". And evil we've called "good". Like in ancient Israel you have graciously extended your hand of mercy over and over again, generation after generation. But we have continually rejected your offer of mercy and we confess we deserve your wrath. But like in ancient Israel you saved for yourself an Elect. I pray even now you would call out for yourself the Elect of God. I pray you would raise up a remnant. I pray for tens of thousands all across our land have have not and will not bow the knee to Baal. We turn from our rebellion and ask for your redemption upon our lives and upon our land." In Jesus' name, Amen.
