Welcome. Below you will find details on what our preschoolers learned at church for this date. In case you are not able to bring your child to one of our campus locations, this is written for you to do church at home with your kids. This can also be used for those that are able to attend in person to recap what your kids learned or to just listen to their favorite songs that they hear at church. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Here is a snapshot of what we will show the kids this week:
Bible Story Focus: On days three and four, God made the land, plants, sea, sun, moon, and stars. (Land, Plants, Sea & Sun, Moon, Stars • Genesis 1:9-19)
Memory Verse: “God saw everything he had made. And it was very good.” Genesis 1:31, NIrV
Key Question: Who made everything?
Bottom Line: God made everything.
Bible Story and Worship
Watch the Bible Story Video with your kids so you can recap and discuss it with them in the “Bring Jesus To Their Level” section. Then join your kids in worship as we sing and dance for God.

Activities
Next, use the Memory Verse video to practice our monthly verse. We will practice this verse all month. Be sure to use the hand motions as it helps the kids to remember. Also, think of a fun reward you can give them at the end of the month when they are able to say it all by themselves. The activity sheet and coloring page are fun resources to help reinforce story and/or big idea.

Bring Jesus To Their Level
Follow the following script to recap the story, practice the memory verse and demonstrate to your young children how to pray. (You’ll make a list with your family to pray over so have a pen a paper ready.)
Say: “Today’s Bible story was about how God made the land, plants, and seas on day three, then He made the sun, moon, and stars on day four. That’s A LOT! Only God can make everything! Right? Right! Who made everything? (Together.) [Bottom Line] God made everything!
“You got it! And the Bible verse we’re learning will help us remember that God made everything, and it is very good. (two thumbs-up) “‘God (point up) saw everything he had made, (binocular hands, look around) and it was very good,’ (thumbs-up) Genesis 1:31.” (Open hands like a book.) (Practice this verse several times with your kids.)
“Yay! That was fantastic! (Clap.)
“Today, we’ll make a list of our favorite things that grow in the ground. It can be a tree, like an apple tree. It can be a flower, like a sunflower. It can be a vegetable, like a carrot. It can be any kind of tree, plant, or flower—it can even be a berry bush! God made all kinds of trees and plants and flowers! (Make a list of what each family member says. Don’t forget yourself.)
“This is such a great list of things God made. Let’s use it when we pray. Would anyone like to pray before I pray?” (Give each family member who wants to pray the opportunity to do so.)
Prayer: “Dear God, thank you for making the ground for things to grow in. Thank you for making the sun to help them grow. Some of our favorite things that grow in the ground are (read the list your family made). You are amazing, God, and we love you very much. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
As we wrap up, I would like to leave you with one of the kids’ favorite ‘good-bye’ songs:
Let Me See Your Alligator
Thank you for the opportunity to partner with you in the discipleship of your kid(s). My prayers are with you.
“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.”
Psalm 139:14
