Women's Ministry

Looking to gather with, serve alongside, and study God’s Word with other women? Abundant Life Women’s Ministry creates opportunities to discover, develop, and deploy the gifts God has placed within you as a woman of God.

The Gathering

Second Monday of the Month
September-May

6:30 pm • Lee's Summit Campus
Main Auditorium

We are a monthly gathering for the women of Kansas City. We are a group of women of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. We believe that every woman was designed on purpose and is lavishly loved by her Creator. As we see our sameness and not our differences, we can join together to shine brighter and be change-makers in our homes, communities, and the world! You are welcome here. You belong here. You are wanted and loved here!

Amos, an Invitation to the Good Life (by Jennifer Rothschild)

Wednesdays, 9:00–11:00 am, Blue Springs Campus, Rm 221

Amos is often called “the prophet of doom”, but he promoted the God-life, which is in fact the good life. Every condemnation he spoke serves to us as an invitation, to “seek God and live” (Amos 5:4). Come to live an assured, faithful, chosen, humble, justly, prayerful, and hopeful life. This kind of living will bring us and others around us peace and true prosperity.

Blueprints

Day of week varies, Times varies, Ongoing study in homes

Following God: Worship from the Tabernacle

Thursdays, 10:00 am–12:00 pm, Lee’s Summit Campus, Core Rm 004

What can a 3,000 year-old piece of history teach me about worship? What is the right way to worship God? Throughout history, God has chosen to provide a way for man to worship Him, and for nearly five hundred years, the Tabernacle was that way. Through this detailed study of the Tabernacle, you will learn that there is a right way and yet many wrong ways to worship our Creator.

James: Living a Life of Faith (by Angie Ward)

Mondays, 6:30–8:00 pm, Lee’s Summit Campus, Main Building Rm 1026

This in-depth, yet highly interactive, verse-by-verse study of the book of James has been written for women desiring to dig deeply into God’s Word. It uniquely presents the powerful pages of James in language that can be easily understood and applied as we face suffering, temptation, guilt, favoritism, conflict, gossip, fear, doubt, and much more.

Living Victoriously in Difficult Times (by Kay Arthur)

Wednesdays, 6:30–8:00 pm, Independence Campus, Fellowship Hall 001

In this six week study you’ll examine what the Bible says about suffering and why God allows it. Through the stories of many who persevered through times of testing, you’ll discover how to find joy even when life seems unfair. You’ll learn how to handle loss while glorifying God in the midst of your pain. And you’ll find the peace that comes from trusting in the One whose strength is made perfect in your weakness.

Love God Greatly

Thursdays, 7:00-8:00 pm, Online via Zoom

Love God Greatly is a non-profit ministry providing daily Bible studies to women around the world. The Bible study material has been translated in 25 different languages and currently reaches into 100+ countries.

Each study is generally four to six weeks in length with a two week break between each study. The studies vary among topical studies; character studies; or focusing on a specific book of the Bible. Although Love God Greatly recommends the “SOAP” method of study, each lady is encouraged to follow the study method that best works for her. We would love for you to join our online community of women who are studying the Word and sharing together!

The Jesus You May Not Know (by Dr David Jeremiah)

Wednesdays, 12–1:30 pm, Blue Springs Campus, Children’s Wing

Too often, when we are asked about Jesus, we say that we know about Him, but we do not truly know Him as we should. Christ has many titles that are found throughout Scripture including Son of God, Teacher, Resurrected Lord, and King of the Jews—but do you know how He personifies each of these roles given to Him by the Father? In The Jesus You May Not Know, we are going to journey into knowing Christ better. The journey begins with understanding His eternal nature—and then we will look at the roles He serves here on earth and in heaven. It is a marvelous study—getting to know our Savior more intimately.
