Special Needs

We feel that it is important to engage children and adults with special needs in a setting that is conducive to them and their needs. Trained volunteers lovingly serve the children and adults to help them learn about Jesus on their level.

We offer special needs classes, called Precious Stones, at both Lee’s Summit and Independence Campuses. Here, trained volunteers lovingly serve the children and adults to help them learn about Jesus on their level.

If you are interested in serving with Precious Stones, see the Journey Kids Volunteer Application on the serve teams page.

Lee's Summit

At our Lee’s Summit Campus, there are two separate opportunities for adults and children.

Children (ages 3 to 11) meet at 9:35 am and 11:15 am.
Teens and adults (age 12+) during the 9:35 am and 11:15 am services.

Additionally, we offer a Parent Support Group that meets every 3rd Sunday at the 9:35 am service at the Lee’s Summit Campus and virtually.

Blue Springs

Please contact Quincey Nicholas at (816) 782-6457 if you are interested in attending at the Blue Springs Campus so we can best prepare for your arrival.

Independence

At our Independence Campus, the Precious Stones classroom will be open for Children (ages 3-11) at 9:35 am and Teens and Adults (ages 11+) at 11:15am.

Respite Event
