Kindergarten & Pre-K, July 26: I Spy Something That Is Real

We all have a place that is special to us. That place that brings back memories, that makes us smile, where we can be ourselves, or just gives us a sense of peace. Jesus is preparing a place that surpasses all of that for each and everyone of us that believe and follow Him.

All summer we’ve been spying into the Bible to show our kids lots of reasons to believe in Jesus. We don’t want them to believe just because we tell them to, but to make that choice based on the facts of eyewitnesses. We can find their testimonies, these true stories, in the Bible.

In this last week of I spy we will spy something that is real. A real place that Jesus is preparing for us even now. A special place where we will be filled with joy and peace. A heavenly place where Jesus will take all those that believe and follow Him.

Here’s a snapshot of what we’ll spy this week:
Bible Story Focus: I spy something that is real. (Jesus Prepares a Place • John 14:2-3; Acts 1:1-11)
Memory Verse: “These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.” John 20:31, NLV
Key Question: Who can believe in Jesus?
Bottom Line: I can believe in Jesus.

As we finish off our summer series, let’s sing out that we believe in Jesus. Then, get your binoculars ready one last time as we spy something that is real in our Bible Story Video.

Next, the materials below will help reinforce the story as well as bring Jesus to their level. These can be done in any order but I recommend the Discussion/Application last (this is the part that really brings Jesus to their level.) Also, this is the last week for the memory verse so have a reward ready for your kid(s) if they can say it all by themselves.

As we wrap up, I’d like to leave you with one of the kids’ favorite ‘good-bye’ songs:
Let Me See Your Alligator

Thank you for the opportunity to partner with you in bringing the Bible alive for your kid(s). It is our goal to make 3 John 1:4 a reality.

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” 3 John 1:4
