It is June and we are kicking off our summer series. That means a new theme and memory verse. The theme is I Spy. Kids love to find things and see things in the world around them. Our focus for June & July is to look for those things that help kids believe in Jesus. So all summer we’ll be asking, “who can believe in Jesus,” and we want the kids to be able to say, “I believe in Jesus!”
Here’s a snapshot of what we’ll be focusing on this month:
Memory Verse: “These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.” John 20:31, NLV
Key Question: Who can believe in Jesus?
Bottom Line: I can believe in Jesus.
This week, we’ll kick off our I Spy theme with the Bible Story Focus: I spy God’s Son, Jesus. To do this we will look at the four books of the Bible that we call the Gospels. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John wrote down what they and others had seen. This allows us to “spy” at who Jesus is. From when the angel told Mary that she would have God’s son to all the miracles He performed, they wrote it all down so we can see and believe in Jesus too.
We’ll begin with our Puppet skit where Link & Skyler will talk about our theme. Next, we have two worship songs to get the kids moving. The first song will be new for them but it is all about our bottom line: I can believe in Jesus. The second one is a great one to get silly with; don’t be afraid to jump in and worship with your kiddos. After worship we have a Bible Story Video for you that is fun and interactive.

As you finish the video lessons and worship, you can use the attached materials to help reinforce the story as well as bring Jesus to their level. Be sure to watch the Memory Verse video. It provides hand motions that help make it easier to remember the verse.

As we wrap up, I’d like to leave you with one of kids’ favorite ‘good-bye’ songs:
Let Me See Your Alligator
Thank you for the opportunity to partner with you in bringing the Bible alive for your kid(s). We are creating the foundation for when we send them out into the world. May their aim be true and for His glory.
