What Is Fusion Students?

Looking for a safe place where your middle or high schooler can hang out, build community, and hear relevant biblical teaching during the week?

Fusion Students is weekly Wednesday night youth event that engages 6th-12th graders in a fun way so they can understand Jesus at their level.

The gospel of Jesus through God’s Word will be preached and taught each week because Jesus changes lives. Jesus welcomes everyone, and so do we. All 6th-12 grade students are welcome at Fusion Students!

We are excited for your student to join us for Fusion Students! Let us know if he or she is coming, and a Student Leadership Team member will contact you with more information about who will welcome your student at Fusion Students.

FUSION STUDENTS​

Join the Fusion Student Leadership Team

This team is for high school students only. We meet every Wednesday night before Fusion from 6:00 pm- 6:25 pm. Students who are part of our student leadership team grow in spiritual leadership and targeted spiritual gifts such as hospitality, communication, creativity, or worship.

Be Living Proof in Your City

High school students who are invested in Fusion can join us for ONEMISSION, where they will learn how to put their faith into action. Students who have experienced life change through Jesus will learn how to be living proof of a loving God to a watching world in their city. ONEMISSION is the place for students looking to take their next step in serving, sharing their faith, and learning about the different cultures in our city.

ONEMISSION '24 FAQ's

What are the dates for ONEMISSION’24?

ONEMISSION’24 will take place from Friday afternoon, March 15 through Sunday afternoon on March 17.

Who can attend ONEMISSION’24?

ONEMISSION’24 is for any high school student, 9th-12th grade. If you’re looking to put your faith in action and be living proof of a loving God to a watching world in your city, ONEMISSION is for you.

How much does it cost to attend ONEMISSION’24?

Students will pay $50.00 when they register. This fee will cover all food throughout the weekend, transportation, a tshirt and food for their training/ team builder.

What will sleeping arrangements/ transportation look like?

Everyone will travel by shuttle to our serve projects each day. Students will be staying at host homes on Friday and Saturday evening with their assigned ONEMISSION group and an adult leader. That adult leader will drive the students to and from the admin building and the host home in the evenings/ mornings.

How will the student’s know their ONEMISSION group?

We will have a mandatory training on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 1:15 pm- 3:45 pm in the Lee’s Summit Core Building, room C111. At this meeting, students will meet their small group leader and their group and start building relationship with them and the rest of the team through some fun team building.

When does registration open/ close?

Registration opens at 9:00 am on January 10, 2024, and closes at 11:59 on January 31, 2024.

Friday, March 17

  • Students get dropped off at Lees Summit admin building at 2:30 pm to check-in
  • Afternoon serve projects
  • Dinner back at the admin building
  • Evening activities
  • Transfer to host homes for sleeping

 

Saturday, March 18

  • All students meet back at the Admin building
  • Quiet time/ breakfast
  • Pack lunches
  • Morning serve projects
  • Lunch
  • Afternoon serve projects
  • Arrive back at admin building, grab shower supplies and leaders will take students to shower at host homes
  • Dinner at the Admin Building
  • Evening Activities
  • Transfer to host homes for sleeping

Sunday, March 19

  • All students meet back at the Admin building
  • Debrief breakfast off site
  • Church Service
  • Arrive back at the admin building for pick-up around 2:00 pm.
    Students will communicate with parents if our ETA fluctuates
    at all

Do Fusion volunteers have a background check?

Yes. All Fusion volunteers must complete an approved background check before serving at Fusion.

Do you have to be a Christian to attend Fusion?

No. Fusion welcomes everyone because Jesus welcomes everyone. We will unashamedly preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus through God’s Word because we believe Jesus can change any life.

Can I stay with my child at Fusion?

Safety is our priority at Fusion. The only adults allowed to attend Fusion are volunteers who have an approved background check. We welcome parents to serve as Fusion volunteers if interested in sharing the Fusion experience with your student. You can sign up to serve here.

Who can serve at Fusion?

Adults 18 years and older who love Jesus and teenagers can serve at Fusion Students. They must pass a background check. Fill out our Serve Team Application to get started.

Wednesday, October 25 6:30 pm

Fusion Fest is happening at Blue Springs, Independence, Lee's Summit Campuses. Doors open at 6:30. We will have a costume competition, food and fall games at each campus. Bring a friend, wear a costume, and come ready to have FUN!
