“…God of all comfort, who conforms us in all our affliction…”—2 Corinthians 1:3-4
DivorceCare is a 13-week video-based support group where you will receive input from experts on divorce recovery, insights from people who have experienced a marriage breakup, and practical tools for coping with the many changes in your life.
Divorce can make you feel alone. In DivoreCare, you will find a group of people who are experiencing what you are and understand how you feel. You’ll discover they, too, feel lonely, and together, you will begin to share experiences, learn from each other, and find healing.
Surround yourself with people who love you and are interested in what has gone wrong. In the midst of the storm, DivorceCare is a safe place where you are accepted where you are.
DivorceCare is here to help people who have gone through or are going through a divorce or separation find hope and healing.
DivorceCare is a 13-week group session offered at scheduled times throughout the year. Whenever you choose to attend, you will find support and encouragement. You will also receive access to a workbook and any resources and videos discussed or shown in past groups.
The cost is $25 and covers the workbook.
DivorceCare groups meet weekly to help you learn how to make choices about relationships, set boundaries, begin to heal, and move forward on your journey. Topics include…
Deep Hurt and Emotions
Grief and Depression
Family and Friends
Common Roadblocks to Recovery
Financial and Legal Issues
Your former spouse
How to Manage Anger
Fears and Anxiety
DivorceCare group starts by watching a video seminar featuring top experts on divorce recovery, insights from people who have walked through a divorce, and more.
After watching the video together, you and the other group members will discuss what was in the video and how it relates to what is going on in your life and theirs.
You will have an opportunity to study the divorce recovery process using your workbook during the week. Your workbook will help you journal to sort out your emotions. Your group will discuss workbook questions, and personal reflection comments the following week.
It’s normal to feel nervous about going to your first DivorceCare group. For most, the feelings go away quickly as they find DivorceCare a warm and caring environment where they can safely express feelings and work through the emotions of divorce and separation.
DivorceCare4Kids is a 13-week program for children ages 5–12 whose parents are going through separation and divorce to cope with the losses they are feeling. The activities, games, and music are designed to help them manage their emotions and communicate with their parents. The ministry parallels the adult DivorceCare group, covering the same subjects on a child’s level.
DivorceCare leaders have the heart to see you healed, restored, and supported. They have been where you are and are at a place of healing and recovery. They want to provide guidance and encouragement to show you how to get there too.
At Abundant Life, we offer DivorceCare and DivorceCare4Kids. Sign up and begin to heal.
