Merge pre-marital class is a 9-week course. It is designed for engaged and seriously dating couples seeking wisdom and counsel about marriage in a safe, fun, and authentic environment.
Yes! Often, engaged couples aren’t given strategies to address, respond to, or fix problems before they arise in marriages. Merge pre-marital class encourages engaged and seriously dating couples to start fighting for their marriages before they begin, giving them spiritual and practical tools they can apply for years.
Couples rarely get opportunities to see the practicalities of merging two very different lives before the marriage begins. When two lives merge, there are two sets of expectations, two views on finances, two family histories and childhoods, just to name a few.
A man and a woman who are engaged or seriously dating will greatly benefit from this course!

The 9-Week Courses are offered in Fall (September) and Winter (January) on Wednesdays from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. Couples will meet at Abundant Life Lee’s Summit, Administration Building

**Merge pre-marital class is a class that requires a sign-up for attendance. It is a closed group, meaning everyone who signs up attends the entire session, and new members aren’t allowed in until the next session starts.
Class Structure: Couples arrive and sit at tables with trained leaders or mentors. Each session starts with discussing one of the topics listed above in a large group. Then the couples break into smaller groups to discuss homework/workbook subjects further. There may be times when the class splits into men and women groups for gender-specific teaching and conversation.
Marriage is a way for God to reveal Himself to men, women, and a watching world. Be prepared as you enter the next chapter of your life.
