Amos is often called ‘the prophet of doom', but he promoted the God-life, which is in fact the good life. Every condemnation he spoke serves to us as an invitation, to ‘see God and live' (Amos 5:4). Come to live an assured, faithful, chosen, humble, justly, prayerful, and hopeful life. This kind of living will bring us and others around us peace and true prosperity.
