Hi Journey Kids parents!
The last of the plagues was the most devastating of all. Every firstborn in Egypt was to die. The Bible says that the penalty for sin is death – the Egyptians deserved this due punishment. But so did the Israelites. They were slaves but they were not without sin of their own. So, God provided for them a substitute – a sacrificial lamb. As God executed His judgment throughout Egypt, He would pass over every house that had been marked by the blood of the lamb. This is an important lesson because it’s not only their story – it’s ours.

Sin still deserves death. But, praise God, He has provided a substitute. Jesus, on the cross, sacrificed His life for ours. God’s judgment passes over every heart that has been marked by His blood. If you’ve never accepted that incredible grace I pray that you would – right now.
