Hi Journey Kids parents!

Have you ever felt like you were under attack? Well, you are. The Bible tells us that there is an enemy who opposes God and His people. But we are not without defense. God has given us His armor. He’s given us the belt of truth, the armor of righteousness, the boots of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Holy Spirit. Isn’t that amazing? God has provided protection against the schemes of our enemy – we just need to put it on.

When it’s time to begin, start your morning of family worship by watching the short lesson video with your kids. [You can to access the videos here.] It’s a great way to engage spiritually with your family.

Here is a snapshot of the lesson details for this week:

Bible Story: Armor of God

Big Idea: God gives us His armor so that we can stand up to the devil’s temptations.

Memory Verse: “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Ephesians 6:11 (NIrV)

After the video lesson and music, you can use the attached materials to help take your family deeper into the lesson:

When you’re tempted to respond in anger, put on the armor. When you’re tempted to gossip, put on the armor. When you’re tempted to be jealous or greedy or prideful, put on the armor. Whenever you’re tempted to succumb to temptation, put on the armor.
