Hi Journey Kids parents!

God called Abraham to leave everything he knew and follow Him. God promised to give Abraham a son – but Abraham had to wait twenty-five years for God to keep His promise. Waiting on God can be really hard, but God always keeps His promises. That’s what we’re learning about this weekend!

When it’s time to begin, start your morning of family worship by watching the short lesson video with your kids. [You can access the videos here.] It’s a great way to engage spiritually with your family.

Here is a snapshot of the lesson details for this week:

Bible Story: God Chooses Abraham

Big Idea: God keeps His promises, so I can wait patiently for Him.

Memory Verse: “The Lord is faithful and will keep all of his promises. He is loving toward everything he has made.” Psalm 145:13b (NIrV)

After the video lesson and music, you can use the attached materials to help take your family deeper into the lesson:

What are you waiting on? What are you praying God will do? God is good to His Word. You can trust Him – even when trusting Him means waiting.
