Hi Journey Kids parents!
Can you imagine seeing someone drop a pencil and then scream in complete and utter shock— “What happened to my pencil?!” No! That’s because we know why it fell—it’s gravity! And just because we can’t see gravity doesn’t mean it’s not there. We have faith that things work and exist even when we can’t see them. It’s the same way with God. We know He’s with us because, even though we can’t see Him with our eyes—He’s active in the world around us!
When it’s time to begin, start your morning of family worship by watching the short lesson video with your kids. [You can access the videos here.] It’s a great way to engage spiritually with your family.
Here is a snapshot of the lesson details for this week:
Bible Story: God’s Covenant with Abraham
Big Idea: God is real, and His promises are true, so we can have faith in Him even though we can’t see Him.
Memory Verse: “Faith is being sure of what we hope for. It is being sure of what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1 NlrV)
After the video lesson and music, you can use the attached materials to help take your family deeper into the lesson:
Being a Christian isn’t always easy. Having a strong faith in God is essential. My hope is that as we grow in our faith, we can be sure of the hope that we have in Jesus. We can be sure that God will keep His promises. And we can be sure that He’ll be with us every step of the way.
