Hi Journey Kids parents!

Jesus came for a purpose. He was on a mission. And that mission was to rescue us from our sin. That’s what we celebrated last weekend! But He invites us to accept His forgiveness – He doesn’t force us. The good news is that taking Him up on His incredible offer is as simple as ABC. First, we Admit that we’ve sinned against Him. Second, we Believe that He came to die for us. Finally, we Choose to accept His forgiveness and follow Him. That’s it. It’s really that simple.

When it’s time to begin, start your morning of family worship by watching the short lesson video with your kids. [You can access the video here.] It’s a great way to engage spiritually with your family.

Here is a snapshot of the lesson details for this week:

Bible Story: Jesus’ Power Over Sin and Death

Big Idea: Jesus has power over sin and death, so we can call on Him to be saved.

Memory Verse: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13 (NIrV)

After the video lesson, you can use the attached materials to help take your family deeper into the lesson:

Have you accepted the grace and forgiveness of God? I hope so. If you haven’t, it really is as easy as ABC. If you have, then who can you tell about Jesus? This is such amazing news that EVERYONE needs to know!
