Hi Journey Kids parents!

Daniel and his friends were captive in Babylon and serving as royal advisers to King Nebuchadnezzar. The king had a terrible dream one night and he wanted his advisers to tell him what it meant. There was only one problem – he couldn’t remember the dream! His advisers were stumped, but God gave Daniel insight. He not only told the king what he had dreamed, he told him what the dream meant. But Daniel didn’t take any credit. He gave God the credit for enabling him to help the king.

When it’s time to begin, start your morning of family worship by watching the short lesson video with your kids. [You can access the videos here.] It’s a great way to engage spiritually with your family.

Here is a snapshot of the lesson details for this week:

Bible Story: Daniel and the Deadly Dream

Big Idea: God is the giver of all good things, so we can give Him the glory.

Memory Verse: “Every good and perfect gift is from God.” James 1:17a (NIrV)

After the video lesson and music, you can use the attached materials to help take your family deeper into the lesson:

Every gift – every talent and ability, every dollar, every thing we have – is from God. He deserves all of the credit. He deserves all of the glory. Take a little time to reflect on all the gifts He’s given you. Thank Him for every one and ask Him to help you give Him the glory every single day (which, by the way, is also a gift).
